I haven’t done to much of the modifications/“factree options” to the bus but the previous owner had a way of doing thing’s. The bob marley paint style the last owner painted on her was quite an interesting choice. When i first put a battery into the bus and hopped into the drivers seat my heart almost stopped when my foot accidentally triggered the “professionally done” custom horn button. I was impressed the horn still works.
Build story
I Bought the 74 bus in the summer of 2020, it was literally abandoned back in 2002 By it’s previous owner. The owner of the bus was moving away to Hawaii and couldn’t take the bus with, so they left it in a parking lot and it was impounded and sent to the local junkyard! Luckily the guy I bought the bus from bought it at the junkyard and took it to his vw shop. He was going to part it out but he retired from his work and let the bus sit behind the shop for 19 years. Until I got a hold of them and bought the vw bus for $200. I have taken it home and got it running and driving with help from my father.
