Build story

I bought this as my first car with the intent to make it my daily driver. That was one year ago. ( I am 18). There is nothing cooler to me than a classic car that looks like it is right off the showroom floor( with a few period correct modifications!) When I got this car it had a blown 351 Cleveland engine and a “c4” transmission. I already had a rebuilt date code correct 351 Cleveland to swap in. But after further investigation I realized what a rare and amazing car this is, and I found it rotting in a field.

FACTORY options include:

A C6 transmission( which is still there, matching numbers, it was not a c4 :) )

3:25 rear gearing

Air Conditioning

The rare “sport dash” instrument cluster

Rare vinyl covered dash

Rare black on black interior

Factory custom order paint code

It’s a GT which means it’s already 1out of 12,000 made

A Q code 351 Cleveland Cobra Jet engine

Power brakes power steering

Competition suspension package

Magnum 500 wheels

GT stripe delete

Emblem Delete

AM/FM stereo ( speakers in the doors factory)

Two tone grill (very very rare)

Factory Cobra Jet Torque converter! 2850-2950 stall speed! Very hard to find!

Factory Hood scoop

Sport mirror ( I have them, not put on yet)

Dual exhaust factory option

All of these options are still present on the car, they haven’t been removed! This was also an original California Car, sold in Los angles in 1972. Glad to keep it in Cali!

Now I know what your thinking, those are not magnum 500s but those wheels are period correct western cyclones made in 1975. I saw them and fell in love with em. ( front 15x7 rear 15x8)The original mags did not come with the car unfortunately.

I love this car so much, nothing makes me happier than driving every single day and doing all the maintenance myself. The classic muscle car tradition must be Carried on, and I’m so happy to do that. As a college student I don’t have much money but look forward to finish restoration this car in the future! Right now I’m doing one thing at a time. There is only one thing about the car that is not factory enough for me! The bucket seats, it originally had a high back bench seat WHICH I HAVE, and I will be putting it in next week :). I am happy to say that this is my daily driver now, and there is nothing better than cruising every day in this. Thank you so much for the consideration!
