Mabel is a 1955 Ford custom line that was in a Philadelphia garage since 1983. She was well taken care of up until her elderly owner named Walter passed away in the 80’s. His wife kept the car in the garage up until she moved out or passed away in 2020. I bought the car on Craigslist from the new owner of the home. 24k original miles and 100% original as far as I can tell. Still has the original tires that aired up and surprisingly don’t have horrible flat spots. 6v v8 with fordomatic transmission. Take her for rides around town and to parks. Did not take a lot to get her going. Her name Mabel comes from an old towel I found in the trunk labeled “stolen from mabels whore house, Las Vegas Nevada” pretty far from New Jersey haha. Great car that I would love to keep but will be for sale shortly.
