Build story
Betty is a 1974 Dodge D100 Adventurer with 8ik miles and is painted DT7704 Brite Turqoise,last used in '74 by Dodge only on the Adventurer pick-up from what I've been told by a few body guys and paint swatch research. Purchased in 1975 Brand new as a leftover model, in Indana. This truck was in the same family since 2020. It was gifted to the original owners granddaughter at age 16 due to the original owners declining health in 2005. She backed it into a tree the 1st week she had it and the family decided it was too much for her and parked it in a field until June 2020 when they placed an ad to sell it. I was the 6th call and was greeted with a "If your calling about the truck and lowball us,we'll just scrap it." I convinced them I was going to make a reasonable offer and did so. Betty finally hit the road again in November 2020, She survived,Hail,tornados,ice storms and even field fires. She's been a labor of love and fully enjoy the experience of driving and working on her.
