Building a 350 .010 block from a #039;74 C20. Stock crank and rods. Engine decked .020& with flat top forged pistons. Dart Iron Eagle heads, 67cc chambers. Currently deciding on the right cam.

Current engine is stock unknown year 350 from an unknown vehicle.

Build story

1986 GMC C1500 Sierra Classic

I first got this truck in 2019 at 16 years old. She was barely running and I towed her out of a field with no prior experience working on cars. Got it running, and started cruisin around for a while.

Unfortunately, when I was driving home from work around 2 AM the engine let go of a rod.

As of now, I have swapped that blown engine with a very old and beat up 350 I found for $200, so I can cruise the truck while I build up a nice mild 350 setup. This truck is on it's third engine, but everything else is original. The built 350 will be its fourth.

So this old squarebody is a mild frankenstein. Running a 350 from a late 60's/early 70's unknown vehicle, with a TH350 outfitted for a 305 but I made it work, and quadrajet from a '75 C20. Of course nothing works exactly how it should.
