Just beginning. Have LS (LQ9) to install with basic cam / induction upgrades (500 HP goal). 4L60E built with it and my own install of all components, wiring etc. Basic plan is to make a street / strip car. Love these 3rd gens, especially T tops, and the fact that they are nearly 500lbs. lighter, monocoque body, and have very good OEM chassis set up. Plus lots of aftermarket support.
Build story
Currently have 4th gen rear end installed with disc, anti spin diff, and 3:43 gears. Set of 1990 17" corvette salad shooter wheels. really improved the handling of car so far. My engine came complete used from 06 Escalade with computer, all wiring, etc.
Currently, it now runs and drives great, (when I picked it up, it had a bent axle shaft, and wouldn't run. I knew it was the control module based on what the owner explained, I got it home, and had it running and driving in a week-end) has OEM 305 with 700r4. I live in N MI and I looked at 20 of these before I found this one in Rust free condition.
