Build story

I bought this car while I was in Iraq in 2006. I was 19. My dad went and picked it up for me. When I got back I had a mountain of parts I had ordered while over seas and me and my dad got to work. We installed the new front end, the four link and the 9”. I put a .040 over 350 in it I built when I was 16, topped it off with a 4-71 blower at about 5psi. The motor was backed by a th350. It would annihilate rear tires. So then life happened. Sold it to my mom and dad for a down payment on my first house. I got married, have 3 wonderful kids, sold the house to buy a bigger house. Was finally able to buy it back in 2019. Dad in the mean time had swapped the th350 out for a 700r4 from Phoenix transmissions and put the billet specialty wheels on it. When I bought it back I sold the blower motor right away and bought an 5.3 and holley terminator, got it installed and started racking up the miles. I eventually put a turbo on it and in it around 10psi. 1/8 mile times so far are 7.82 at 96mph on street tires. Even with a launch retard programmed in it doesn’t want to hook off the line. A brand new pair of drag radials are waiting in the garage for this spring. I daily drive it now once the salt is washed off the road and as long as it’s not 100% chance of rain.
