With this bronco, we didn’t do too many upgrades. We did add a 3.5” lift on 32x10.50 tires with some made model ram 1500 wheels and trim pieces. We also traded the 3 speed manual trans for a c4 automatic. Fresh paint and a full interior really made this build for us. We also added Humvee 3 point seatbelts up front as well as 3 point harnesses in the rear. A sound system was added with a kenwood deck as well as 2 decent 6x9 speakers mounted on boxes on the rear fender wells. For the roll bar, this one in particular was sourced from a Bill Stroppe Baja Bronco from 1975-1977 as well as the steering wheel.

Build story

My dad and I are just 2 guys in a little garage for years we spent just pickin at little parts and pieces getting this thing together until a nice guy stopped by to look at it and offered to let us use his shop until his paint booth was finished and sure enough this sweet older gentleman had every tool you could imagine in this show but by this point all we really had left were body work and the transmission swap as well as piecing it back together. This build overall took about 6 years from start to finish. Our online bronco club Coloradoclassicbroncos.com was a huge help in sourcing parts as most of these folks are in nearby areas and were very willing to help find parts such as a member who had built the transmission and others who helped find new and used parts.
