Build story
This is my majestic 1981 Chevy K20 that has been my daily driver since I bought it 3 years ago.
Bought it for $250 sitting in a field, threw a tune up at it and it immediately came back to life. After it was running I just poured the miles into it driving all over the place. The original 350 was pretty worn out right from the start and burned oil like crazy. Eventually I got tired of all the blue smoke burning my eyes and the empty oil jugs flying around the drinkers side floor board so I yanked it out and did a rebuild.
Now it’s super loud and gets 8mpg, but gets thumbs up everywhere I go. Plan to fix the body up and paint it sometime in this decade but for now I’m just happy as a clam ripping it around as is with old country cassettes on a constant rotation.
