Build story
I am the original owner. I brought the car home new on Dec 1st, 2006. I have enjoyed it for almost 15 years across 2 continents in various configurations. The car has constantly evolved to get better over the years, and I have had the privilege of making mistakes and learning from them.
The focus of the build is about balance, driving pleasure, and usability. Though the car looks very close to stock upon first glance, very little remains untouched from the factory, be it the motor, the custom interior, the one-off door handles, or the the Aston Martin paint color (which I fell in love with at The Phila Intn’l Autoshow back in 2010. and promised myself that If I ever repainted the car, it would be that color).
The car is suited for ling road trips as the suspension can be adjusted easily to be more comfortable , and the stereo took years to get to where it is today, which impresses me every time I turn it up. And it doesn’t hurt that the passing power doesn’t disappoint, and neither do the sounds the car makes!
One of the most important benefits I experienced through the course of the build in the past 3 years is that I have made sincere friendships with some fantastic people here in Bahrain, which means a lot as before we connected via car culture, I felt very much like an outsider as an American living in the middle east.
