Build story
I have had this truck since I was In high school. I bought this from a dentist in Alamogordo, NM in 2014. Had her shipped back to Northwest PA. Stock she was a 95 F150 regular cab, short bed, 302 automatic. Currently she is a 5-speed manual, powered by a 120 Hp 4bt Cummins diesel. I was on Marketplace where I found a cheap 4bt with Ford adapter plate and transmission for sale in Grafton, OH, only two hours away. After several days I decided to buy the engine, I even drove this truck out to pick up the engine. I fixed up the engine over the winter of 2019, then 2020 hit, where I found myself with plenty of time to do the swap. Over a period of 10 weeks I pulled the old engine out (2 days) and spent the rest of the time customizing and fitting the 4bt between the frame-rails, all in an old milking parlor. To do the swap a bought a 3 ton engine hoist, which a later sold for 4 times what I payed for it. In late August of 2020, she was back on the road (albeit without a hood and bumper as I was testing all the boots and fittings). Next on the list is to fix the various leaks and to swap out the TTB of a solid Dana 44, maybe a turbo...or two
