My dad bought this truck new in 1986. My mom and him drove it for years. After motor swaps, transmission swaps and a lift kit, they ended up with a built 355-th400 and 7” of lift. Finally parked it in 2001 after lifting the heads pulling a truck off the highway in the winter. Fast foreward to 2010, Im in highschool looking for a vehicle and chose the squarebody rusting in the yard. My dad and I pulled it into the garage with the help of a friend with a tractor. My dad and I went to advanced auto he bought a haynes manual and got to work. We bought new fenders, new doors, welded in rockers, cab corners, bedsides, new glass , new brakes/brake lines, new fuel lines. After many hours painting and swapping out parts with my then girlfriend ( now wife), it was on the road! As the past represented its self I also went through many motors and transmissions. I drove it for 10 years befor My wife Carlye, my dad Don decided to upgrade the power and built a single turbo 5.3 built motor with a whole new fuel system, new 4” cummins exhaust, and soon to be a 4l80. We plan on daily driving it to work and taking a few cross country vacations to see our friends and family in other states
