This is my first car that I got when I turned 16. I had always been interested in cars but had never had one of my own. I started off doing typical mods for a teenager with a Honda (loud exhaust, intake, cheap suspension parts). But my passion for cars began growing stronger and the chase for more power was on. I wanted to have more power but still be able to daily the car because, well... I was in High School. I found that the H22 engine was nearly a direct swap from my old F22b1. My senior year I had save enough money to purchase a 1995 Honda Civic with an H22a1 swap in it. I took the motor out of the Civic and started the swap in 2017 with my grandfather. My grandfather is a diesel mechanic which helped a ton but he did not know enough about the wiring or ECU tuning. I read nearly every Honda Forum post from the last 15 years to try and figure out how to do the swap. After about 3 months (yes that is longer than it should take, but I was a broke college student) I was able to drive the car. It was an incredible feat and I was super happy with the car. I drove the car daily for about the next 2 years until I bought a 2018 Honda Accord Sport. I recently decided to rebuild the top end of the engine and I put in Skunk 2 Tuner Stage 2 camshafts, along with some more supporting mods. This car was the vehicle I drove consistently for 5 years and is the vehicle I have to thank for teaching me how to work on cars. I could not have done this project without my grandfather and I am so happy to be keeping the car as a fun Sunday driver.
