Factree standard upgrades include, a datsun bluebird 5 speed manual conversion, Toyota hilux 4 pot front brakes, a Nissan skyline turbo and manifold (she’s pumping out a massive 7PSI), skyline turbo rocker cover, a strut brace out of a Toyota celica, and an oil cooler out of my old Toyota supra, gumtree bought holley 350 with the choke cut off (dealing with the blow through set up despite all odds), my signature wobble pop coil cover upgrade, locked distributor, lightened flywheel, rattle can paint match job, eBay radiator, eBay fibreglass front lip, front and rear bumpers removed, holley fuel pump, Wish BOV, zipties a lot of zipties, an undertray I “borrowed” from the door of a shed, and who can forget the usual datsun dealer offered weight reduction (she’s rustier than grandpas whaling harpoon), Boost gauge, exhaust temp gauge and air fuel ratio gauges.

Build story

This tetanus transfer of 4 wheels is my pride joy, and my neighbours reasons for angry glares and listing their houses for cheap.
I built this car on an extreme budget, as an apprentice, and when I discovered it actually sorta kinda worked, never really got around to fine tuning it and cutting the rust out. Still she’s a full blown impressing the old blokes at your local servo machine.
Being on a tight wage at the time I pieced parts together with the help of friends, my dad, facebook market place, and 3 different junkyards.
I learnt a lot building the car this way, mainly don’t always assume people on the forums know what they’re talking about.
Every time I drive it I expect the 40 plus year old motor having boost crammed in to give up, but the old zed has never let me down.....yet.
