Build story

The car was bought new by my great great aunt in Chicago, she drove the car as her daily driver until 1988 when she lost her license. The car sat from 1988 to 2001 when she passed away and the car was given to my grandfather who then passed the car to me, I was 14. The car was driven a small amount before I left for the US Navy. When I was discharged and returned home, I revived the car again after another 10 years of sitting and drove it around as a stock car. That winter the transmission lost all of its seals and puked its guts all over my garage floor. After doing some digging it became clear an LS was the most cost effective way to make the car work again. One late night EBay session later I had a $350 LM7 with no history. My uncle and I did the whole swap from OHC 6 and two speed auto to LS 4l60 in a month. Since then I have put on almost 15,000 trouble free miles, used it to drive away from my wedding, bring my son home from the hospital, done the last three days of Hot Rod Power Tour 2019, autocrossed with the local Miata club and been to LS fest 11 where it was driven there and back and autocrossed both days.
