Build story
The truck is being build as a gasser /rat rod. It was given to me by my best friend. The C10 in the pics is his truck. It had a basket case locked up slant 6 when he gave it to me. The engine was built by me on a budget with new and used parts. The reason it has a Chevy is I had it, I knew I could build mounts to make it work, and I wanted to drive it. Even though it’s crossed up parts. I’m Trying to keep it period correct. I started on the truck Late January. I drove it for the first time last week. It is being built mostly for the track but I do drive it around town “with open headers “. The small 2.5 gallon tank on the front is what I run on. The truck runs on C12 fuel. It’s still in progress , don’t see it ever being done like all projects. I do plan on finding an older 331 hemi and building it for this truck but right now I’ll just enjoy it like it is.
