Build story
I wanted something with an open top for warm weather drives with the family, hardware store runs, etc. I also needed something that the kids (4 and 6 years old) could climb all over and mess with the switches and levers without me worrying about scratches, stains or other kid related issues. In its off time, the Blazer is a mechanical jungle gym.
I was originally looking at Jeepster’s and Commando’s, but between finding parts, and the small size, I quickly pivoted over to Blazers.
This one has been a Texas truck all it’s life, and I’m lucky owner number 11.
The TBI 350 smokes just enough to announce her presence without anyone calling the fire department. She starts every time.
The scariest of the previous owners’ wiring has been deleted on, and she no longer smells like gas when sitting still. Which, you know, is good.
It’s been a fun build to this point. Reliable, reasonably safe for the family, and a real head turner. I get thumbs up or comments on most drives.
Already a 1 time award winner at a local car show (1st place truck out of 3!) I want to get more peepers on this friend from Flint. Thank you for the consideration, and thank you for all the great content.
Cheers,
Jeremiah
