Build story
I came across this kei truck in a junk yard in 2018 Someone had striped it for all its running gear. It was about to be crushed. I obviously had to bring it home and then the plan began.
Cheep rwd engine? Mazda mx5 yeah that will do.
140bhp not enough turbo swap then
250bhp on a stock engine.
So I got a donor car for £500
And went about stripping it for all the good stuff.
As for the turbo swap everything was the cheapest I could find my turbo manifold was £40. I wanted something totally different to drift and burn tyres! And a 250bhp kei truck is as different as you can get plus the power to weight ratio is huge so it#039;s like having a 600bhp normal drift car without the cost.

Sorry for the delay I didn't have access to my account. This gearbox is the factory hijet 1.3 petrol gearbox. Not very strong however with small tyres it has lasted quite well

Hey I’m thinking about doing this exact swap as I’m going to be doing the mongol rally a 20,000 round trip from uk to Mongolia and back and my question is do you have a more comprehensive build thread? I was thinking of using either my 1.6 or buy a mk3 with a 2.5 duratec.
