Does fixing broken and worn out parts count? Biggest mod was replacing the radio and speakers, and converting the candle stick lights on the front end over to LED with housings that look as close to stock as I could find.

Build story

Sorry about the old video that isn’t a video made for this but one from right after getting her. This is my 1983 Oldsmobile 98 that I brought back from the dead. She was originally owned by a little old man and lady that was purchased by my friends grand father then given to him. It had been garage kept up until he got the car in 2009. He drove it under 1000 miles during his entire ownership and as a truck guy didn’t give it much attention. He parked it and drove it a total of 20 ish miles in 5 years when I couldn’t sit back and watch her sleep. I bought the car and began bringing her back. I wish I had made a video of it and had pictures but it consisted of putting in a battery, pumping the gas twice and she fired up on the first try. She smoked a little, had a little lifter tap but she came right out of it. My brother and I got to work and had to replace all the brake lines, a caliper, and aired up the tires. Took her for a spin and got her legal. Over the last 5 years since I got her she got all new shocks, replaced what looks to be original front rotors, and the original front tires from 83. The list goes on as I’ve slowly replaced things as they failed over the years. She had 54,xxx original miles on he 307v8 now climbing to 68,xxx. It may not be a sports car but she is like driving the living room down the road. I now post videos on repairs on my YouTube at ClassicOldsmobile and occasionally on my brother channel at blazerguy1983. Thanks for the view hope you like her.
