Build story

In 2006, my Dad bought me my first car, an 84 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. We spent 2 years piecing it together on a budget. He was a Ford Tech from the early 80#039;s until 2014, so he knew his stuff. He was able to teach me so much about cars. We did a quick once over on the motor and trans, and sent it. i put 15,000 miles on the 84, but the floor and car rotted out. in 2019, after a few wobble pops, i went on that face site and found a 175,000 mile 86 Turbo Coupe, 500 miles away. Brought her home and gave her the go around. She had sat since 2007, with the windows open. The car was a roller, but from Virginia so she was solid. I took the Drivetrain and many other parts from the 84 and pieced together this 86. I had lost my job due to covid, but luckily was able to run this back and forth to my temporary job. Getting 25 + mpg.

Once, i got a better job, I started putting the money into her. Nicer interior, Dash, making all the factory components work again, (power antenna, alarm, Radio, EATC,keyless entry). Its been tough finding parts for these cars, most everything is used and you gotta make it look better..
I put 3500 miles on the car last year, now i#039;m on the body work stage. My goal is to have it factory looking with tasteful mods. Hopefully upgrading to newer mustang 5 lug stuff in the future.

Currently working on the body, almost ready for a home brew paint job.
