Build story

I'm from a very small town in Northern Iowa, right by the Mississippi. This truck was my neighbors, ever since I was a small child I always went and played with all the switches and parts of the truck. Been asking the original owner for years if he was ready to let go of it. Last September he finally did! So it became mine for a measly sum of cash. I dumped fuel down the vent of the quadrajet and she fired up and ran off the varnished fuel in the tank. Threw some air in the old tires and drove it to my property. From there all the brake lines and brakes parts were replaced. Normal maintenance happened as well. Fast forwarded a few months finally get it titled and in my name. I slap some new tires on it and a quick rattle can paint job to make it all one color. A bit of updating, new alternator, wiring, bearings, ujoints, ball joints, intake, carb, dizzy, all fresh fluids. Lots of tiny small things done too, countless hours and dollars spent to make it reliable. It#039;s now my daily driver, I have a 25 mile drive to the city I work in a mix of highway and city driving. Been flawless minus a few old truck things.

I'm only two hours from Ames by the way ;) haha. Thanks guys!
