To understand this truck and what it means to me, you have understood where the truck came from. In 1979 my grandfather bought the truck of his dream. He grew up in upstate Michigan and was an avid hunter, so when he moved to the city of Chicago with my grandmother after the serving in WWII he still had that country life in him. So he bought land in Wisconsin and with the land came his Wisconsin farm truck he drove back and forth from the city to the country.
Living in Connecticut I never saw my grandparents as much as I would have like to. So after he passed and the truck sat for about 20 years, last being registered in 96. Being the real only gear head in the family my aunt asked me if I wanted the truck, and of course I said yes. So I trailered it to CT, stored it for a little bit longer till I bought a house and a home for the truck. After watching plenty of Thunderhead289 and Junkyard digs videos put me on the right track on where to start.
So I hope you like the truck I most certainly brought back to life.
Thanks, Jim
