New fancy aluminum radiator, bled the brakes but it was not terribly successful. Last guy wasted a bunch of money on a ratchet shifter , tore off the parts of the vinyl roof that were demanding their freedom. Rat turd removal

Build story

My very good friend’s son bought this car as a teenager and cherished it , T boned someone on the front end but , lovingly. He passed away unexpectedly and the family was going to sell the car when my friend stepped in and gave it to me. He knew I’d love it as much as his son had. Used the stairs on my deck for leverage and straightened the front bumper, mostly, painted the bumper and grill and head light bezels satin black, changed the rad and tried to improve the brakes- minimal success so far. Headers have holes in them - bought another set, used of course, but haven’t gotten around to changing them yet. Pretty much every panel has some weight reduction- improves airflow through the cabin on a hot day. I love this beast- and some day I’ll put a little more make up on her - but for now, factree perfect. Had my friend follow me the other day when I was taking it to a new garage space and he said it gave him a lump in his throat to see it cruisin. Proof cars can be family as far as I’m concerned.
