Build story
I’m a big fan of Explorer 4x4’s but wanted something a little crazier then just the stock v6. After considering my options I decided the most ridiculous and entertaining engine I could put in it would be a 12 valve Cummins so I bought a ram 2500 parts truck and set to work.
To support the drivetrain the explorer has gotten axles out of 3/4 ton trucks front and rear and a boxed frame. The drivetrain is all parts that came stock behind Cummins or similar sized engines with the goal of having some semblance of reliability.
I had the parts for this build laying around for years and when I finally decided to start it I also decided to start a Youtube channel to document the build. If you want to follow the build then come see me at ‘Build Something’ on Youtube.
