Build story
Our 79 Ford F150 was our daily driver for a lot of years! We unfortunately had to park it at the farm where it sat in a barn for a few years. So earlier this year when we pulled it back out we were able to call it a barn find... It's still a barn find if it's in your own barn right??!
It's got a 502 cubic inch big block Ford in it. We decided recently to put a Holley Sniper EFI kit on it and upgraded to a Lunati VooDoo cam. It's very loud with some home made exhaust and Hooker Aerochamber mufflers. It had tubular bumpers on it which were great for pulling my buddies out when they got stuck but not so great looking so we took the body lift off and got the stock bumpers.
This thing likes breaking parts with all that power and can pretty much go anywhere. It makes an awesome mud truck and while it looks shiny it's painted with industrial epoxy to make sure it's durable. We had a huge snow storm in Canada in November this year and our Ford Superduty got stuck... It was the 79 to the rescue. It can go anywhere. Built Ford tough!
