Nothing serious yet as this build is going to be mostly original. Just boring my engine .030 over.
Build story
I started the tear down of the 1950 a few years back and and now finally to the putting back together stage. I have used a local MN shop for powder coating my frame. I sandblasted my rear ended and front axle myself and painted that. I am also in the process of rebuilding my 216 stove bolt 6. The block and head is in the machine shop currently and will be boring that .030 over. Having the babbitted connecting rods machined so I can used new rod bearings. The crankshaft will also be machined and then the motor rebuild will happen. After I get those back I can start bringing this 1950 that had no cab floor and super rusty gal back to life!
The body is down at the farm as I only have a 2 car garage; space is limited. I plan to get the cab mounted to the frame this year along with having a running engine and 4 speed transmission. It originally has a 3 in the tree and I am swapping to a 4 on the floor. This truck was last registered in 1982. And the motor was froze and I did the right thing and filled the cylinders with ATF and waited. It came around for me to actually tear it all down. I uploaded a video of that.
