Build story
It was My grandfathers truck that he had bought new in 1982 for a farm truck and towing rig. 360 SB with a 727 Torqueflite transmission. The original paint was a real nice metallic coffee brown that I debated using instead of the green. The green is a factory Dodge color the was used on the Warlock trucks about 77#039;-79#039;. Starting in my sophomore year of High School tore the truck right down to the frame and bare cab. Really flying by the seat of my pants using YouTube and the online forums as my guide I worked through it by my lonesome. I did all of the sheet metal welding and repairs. I tore down the engine and original transmission and reassembled them both. The engine after have the work done for the stroker crank. Forged Scat 4.00in crank, forged Eagle rods and Keith Black hypereutectic pistons with a dome for roughly 9.5 :1 compression. Comp Cam .440 intak/exhaust, factory 360 heads saddled with Hooker headers. The trans was a bit of a fail. It started out in third gear full time unless I put it manually through the gears. When I swapped it out for the A518, the oil pan showed much filings. I also rebuilt the A518 on my own and I got it right this time around. Cruises like a dream minus the rough riding springs. I had a body shop finish out the filler and paint.
