Previous owner changed motor from 270 to 292 inline six. Some equipment mods on the body as it was in service for 38 plus years.

Build story

We got the truck in barely running, not stopping and extremely faded out paint condition. Half the equipment didn’t work and all the wiring cracked, falling apart and shorting.
My sons and I started by doing brakes - master cylinder and hydrovac rebuild. Then the motor was removed, sent to a pro rebuild shop to be totally redone. Next came the transmission - removed by us and rebuild by a friend at a transmission shop. All the while redoing the complete wiring system, and spending MANY hours polishing and fixing all equipment. My wife got involved in pinstripes and lettering. We removed the coat rack and moved the hard suction hoses back to original. There’s still lots to do, but we try and coordinate Father and Son time to do it.
