Build story
It started in '95 when my stepson ended his 5th driving lesson (with his father) ejected into a farmers field, t-boned by a 300 zx. While the robust Chevy saved the life of my stepson, I only managed to recover the wiring harness, the two rear doors, and the jockey-box lid.
I sourced a new body and frame, and haven't stopped customizing in the 26 years since.
In the early years, many of the modifications were made by hand, through second-hand parts, and trades, due to financial necessity. And time went on, and my garage amassed more tools and materials, the suburban was always eventually treated to the new equipment.
The list of modifications here is by no means extensive! But just the notable highlights.
This truck has been a daily driver, and work-truck, a recreational vehicle (hence the roof rack), and a tower of cars of all kinds (race, friend, and stranded stranger).
