Build story

Bought the hood of this truck for my bronco for $200. The previous owner said to take the whole truck because that was the price of the truck. The original motor that was in the truck was swapped out for an Explorer 5.0 that had no compression on cylinder 1. The previous owner couldn’t find tdc on a dizzy that he was installing so I found it on the harmonic balancer, was off by 180°. flipped the direction on the dizzy and drove the truck home on 3/8 cylinders with really retarded timing due to no timing light. Bought a replacement engine for $360 and sold the bad engine for $360. bought everything else for the truck for about $700 and including my labor and stickers i’m only in it at $2000. Rebuilt the engine, had lifter knock, timing shift from the summit dizzy, and the slave cylinder failed during the first 3 test drives. She runs, burns rubber, and drives now!
