Not sure yet but probably electronic ignition, and maybe a Weber carb, otherwise going to keep this one close to stock.
Build story
This is a project I've been aware of for quite a few years. It was originally used to tour around Europe for a number of years before ending up back in the UK. The owner decided to rebuilt it however, give up shortly after it was dismantled. It sat at a buddies shop for a number of years before being bought buy someone he knew.
Move forward to 2019 and most of the underside had been rebuilt, the engine rebuilt and other bits and pieces purchased. It then sat around for another year or so and eventually went back up on for sale in early 2022. At that time I was approached by a potential buyer and asked to quote finishing it off. Obviously my quote was way higher than he was expecting. He thought about 4 grand to finish it off including parts, and I was like no, not even close!
So it has sat there just rusting away until I decided it had to be saved so made an offer in September and it was accepted.
So my first task was to hit it all over with a wire wheel, treat the rust and coat it in red oxide primer. This is simply to stabilize it until i have finished my current project and will have time to get back to it.
I will have it either media blasted or chemically dipped and then take it from there.
