The car came pre-modified. We've never been able to ascertain whether a dealership did the "DUB Edition" mods or if it was factory. Nice wheels, a nice spoiler are the two things I know are non-stock.
The previous owner swapped the 5-speed manual with a GTi 6 speed.

Build story
We found this car for $500. It came with a spare VR-6 block and the original 5 speed transmission and shifter.
The owner was trying to convert the car to an automatic transmission, and was pulling the wiring apart to try to make the change but gave up ... was arrested ... one of the two things stopped his progress.
I had to completely reassemble the dashboard and interior. The only thing that does not work is the Cruise Control. There is a short circuit in the wiring, and I have not yet located it.
