Another VR6 project. This one had a broken timing chakn.

Build story

Another $600 acquisition. The seller said that they sold the car, and the buyer drove it to a gas station, and then when a traffic light turned green and they tried to accelerate the "engine just quit." Allegedly didn't make much noise, blah, blah. A bunch of BS. The person probably red-lined the engine and dropped the clutch.

Anyway, the valves were 100% bent as a result of the timing chain ripping five teeth off the clutch gear, and the chain tensioner breaking. It was a mess.

$1200 later, after buying all the small parts needed, including things like the so-called "crackpipe" she runs strong. I replaced the flywheel, the clutch, and a lot more.

5-speed stock VR-6. I really like these cars, they're poor men's BMWs.
