1965 F350 Cab n Chassis. Have a donor F-700 12V that runs and drives. Want to swap everything into an e99 F550 frame. Take the 4.88 Front axle from my 2000 F350 and put it in the F550 to match the rear Dana S135.
Grandpas truck has a Brown Lipe Auxillary Transmission that is stuck in direct drive. It has 5.13 gears so top speed is like 35 mph.

Build story
My grandpa passed away some years ago. He was one of the best Saddle makers In the west. He was literally one of the coolest old cowboys out there. His truck has been kinda abandoned though and I’d like to give it some love.
He got it back in the 1970’s-80’s from a well drilling company that thought it had a rod knock but it ended up being the crank counter weight tapping the dented oil pan. He pushed the oil pan dent out and ran the truck till 2006 or so. It still ran when he passed but definitely needed some updating. Story goes he hauled a D4 cat with it on a gooseneck and it did ok. He even got pulled over by the cops because he was way over grossed but how he had it setup with gears and the aux trans it did ok.
Anyways I thought it would be cool to put his old 65 cab on some newer technology and let it still be a hauler for the family to keep around and remember him.
