Build story

The car belongs to my son Edward and his IG is @dailydrivenspitfire. We were gifted the car as a rustbucket and decided to build it together in 2019. After spending a year installing new floors, rockers, brakes and interior and an aluminum radiator and a tune-up, it was roadworthy and was driven all summer in primer. In 2021 it received some “new” body panels (three hoods were sectioned together to make one, and 4 doors plus new skins make up the two doors now on the car) and was painted by me in our one car garage. The car was driven to college that summer and racked up 15000km in 15 weeks, earning a long distance award from the British Car Council of Canada. The following winter the engine was rebuilt at home an the miles continue to roll on while more subtle changes continue to evolve including suspension rework, custom cream faced gauges, TR7 rims and vintage style Pirelli Cinturato CN36 tires
