Finally running on a rebuilt Dodge Ram 360 magnum. First car show.
What I could afford for an interior update. Looks almost period correct.
The magnum 360 freshly painted and set it place.
I had to disassemble the front clip so it would fit in my tiny garage. Ha
The front clip in my backyard over the winter.
More snowy front clip.
The Torqueflight 904 being reassembled.

1972 Dodge Charger. 360 Magnum swap. Torqueflight 904 trans.

Build story

I bought the wasted Dodge Charger about 5 years ago. It had a blown up engine, non running trans and a burned up wiring harness. I replaced the harness, and rebuilt the transmission in my basement. The engine spun a main bearing shortly after that. While inspecting that I realized the front drivers frame rail was rusted out. I replaced the frame rail and trans torsion support. I sourced a used Dodge ram 360 and installed that. I have updated all the suspension and brake, fuel lines. It finally runs very well. I feel good that I saved this hunk of metal from the scrapyard. I have done all of this work in a tiny tiny single car garage in Minneapolis. I had no fancy lift or frame table. Like Rich says, it is possible.
