Build story
I live near Cleveland OH where vehicles disappear as fast as you build them...lol
I have 2500/3500 4 trucks here:
99 Cummins flatbed 2WD, crusty, 7 patches in the frame...DONOR
98 GMC CCSB 5.7 4x4 maroon, crusty, good frame, 4L80...DONOR
94 GMC CCCC 4x4 blue SPOTLESSLY CLEAN 6.5 pulled trans good
98 CHEVY 2wd SRW 3500 454 5spd removed VERY CLEAN
The end goal was:
98 CCSB 4x4 5.7 (NV3500 5spd because I have it) vortec FI, daily driver
94 CCCC 4x4 24v Cummins dumping flatbed trans still up for debate
I have 3 boys 11,7, and 2 they enjoy "helping" (some are more help than others)...lol
I can weld/fabricate moderate body work, assembly, electrical above novice.
I worked restoration shops as a kid. I've been building my daily trucks the last 20 years. New stuff has become insanely expensive and ridiculously over complicated.
I had a plan, been a DEBOSS fan for a long time, however now that I have learned of EDDISON MOTORS I have become stumped...What you guys are doing and the hybrid plans are extremely exiting!
Rich,
If I was young (I'm 46) and without family responsibility, I would be on your doorstep offering my skills and labor for free just to take part and learn this exciting technology.
I love this more simplistic and efficient marriage of mechanical/electrical technologies. I'm even more excited that you're main focus is to bring it to the older more well built trucks.
I strongly believe that this is the way of the future and the way to beat big oil and the big threes hold on us.
