Build story
Having 3 trucks, I decided to trade in my 2017 Ram in on the perfect (for me) Challenger R/T!
5.7 Hemi (non-MDS), Tremec TR6060, 3.90 gear.
R/T Plus pkg, Classic pkg, white billboards in B5 blue.
This car is my daily, and I really wanted the best all around muscle car. Starting with exhaust, I put a new cat-back system on with Super 10's, resonator delete, active exhaust simulators and quad tips. In my opinion, it's far better sounding than your typical straight piped Hellcat.
Moving inside, I replaced the factory flimsy shifter for a Hurst unit, complete with a carbon handled pistol grip.
Outside, I installed "345 Hemi" badges on the hold (identical style to the 426 Hemi badges of 70-71. I removed the "Dodge" lettering from the tail panel and replaced it with the Challenger script to mimic the '71 Challenger. And because I have a Hurst shifter, I had to put the "Hurst Equipped" Badge on the spoiler, where the SRT or Scat Pack badge would be on those cars.
I ran Power Tour with it, with drag racing, autocrossing and an 1800 mile trip, it averaged 26 mpg!
There's not much else I want to change, other than paint matched steel wheels with poverty caps as well as possibly doing a cam swap and headers...
