Build story
Got this 92 Bronco bone stock when I was 16. Now 22, it’s had a couple different renditions and improvements, from the basic 6” rough country TTB lift and 35s, to lights and bumpers and exhaust and now a solid axle swap from a 08 F350. Basic little things here and there that the average truck kid does, like lights and exhaust. Front bumper from a ‘17 F350 with custom mounts which required cutting off frame bumper mounts and reselling on the outside of the frame (also to make room for the winch I have to put in). Did a lot of wheeling in it and after the second time I busted up the stock 8.8 i decided it was time to go beefier. Knew I wanted a heated up 7.3 PSD and ZF6 in it one day so the only option was a 05+ super duty swap. Got a good deal on a rolled 08 and threw it together in the back bay of the shop I was working at over the weekend with a little help from a coworker moving and lining up axles. The stock 5.0 and M5OD don’t like the 3.73 gears (hell they really didn’t like the stock 4.10s either) which is probably why the transmission rattles really bad without the clutch in and I don’t have 3rd gear anymore. So if anyone around Kenai AK sees this and has a 7.3 (preferably 94-97 but I can’t be picky) with a 5 or 6 speed or really has any manual Powerstroke for cheaper let me know through Instagram DMs. Yes even a 6.4 because that would actually be pretty cool.
