1985 Chevy C30 Perkins T6.354.4 twin sticks swap

Perkins diesel swap, twin stick transmissions, HX35 turbo, push bumper, custom fabricated headache rack, 95 Impala SS power steering pump driven off of the accessory stub shaft on the Perkins.

I took my 85 C30 pulled the 6.2 diesel out that I had put a 6.5 turbo on and was backed by a sm465 bought a partial project rolling crew cab chassis with the Perkins T6.354.4 the Clark 580VO main transmission and a Spicer 5831 auxiliary transmission. I chopped both chassis in half under the cab put the Perkins chassis onto my cab and chassis back half then mounted the 5831 on my back half of frame. Both transmissions net me overdrive it's a very good cruising rpm truck. I'm only using direct and overdrive on the 5831 it also has a 2:1 underdrive I may add a 3rd stick to some day being I don't have a shift mechanism for a aux box. I put a 24v Cummins HX35 turbo on it and the Perkins is a factory highway engine and is equipped with a factory VE pump which is somewhat rare being most have a CAV pump.
