1996 wasn't an option but it's a 1996 C3500 with a 454 and 4L80e transmission. Sold the stock bed, while delivering it end up getting the end of ring finger smashed and amputated, long story. Anyway, lowed it with a 5/7 DJM drop kit, a set of cut down to 22" semi wheels and began building the flatbed. I can't take credit for the whole idea, I saw one like it year ago and really liked it so I decided I would build me one. The next steps will include bagging it, working on getting a 12 valve and NV4500 now and getting that swapped in, the 241K+ mile 454 is showing it's age and eventually want to build me a bagged two car hauler to pull behind it so I don't want power to be an issue later down the road. Sill need to build headache rack, not sure if I'm going to run 12 valve exhaust through it yet, finish welding bed up, body work and paint, interior and lots of other things but it runs and drives so those can come as time permits, having a daughter in 2023 kinda slowed down progress but it is still on the back burner waiting. Did make the trip to Cruising the coast the last two years hauling the GMC for my brother so it still comes out everyone once in a while.
