Build story
I purchased this little beauty in the spring of 2021. Had the hydroboost & master cylinder rebuilt. Replaced the front tires, taillights & repaired some holes in the cab floor to get a safety and put it on the road.
Since our first camping trial, it has been an ongoing project. Replacing this, repairing that, finding water leaks, replacing rotted roof & wall framing... the list is too long to mention here.
From day one it was a bit of a dog, wouldn't climb a hill without a push :-/
Started looking at doing an LS swap after watching too much Deboss Garage :-)
Finally decided to do some basic engine tests found good, even compression on all cylinders. Timing chain had 12 degrees of stretch!
New Timing chain and gears, water pump, and a transmission cooler for good measure.
She runs much better and pulls like a train up the hill now!
