Build story

Bought the car for pretty dirt cheap with a straight 6 in it.\r
The guy I got it from could never get it running right.\r
Had a couple cylinders with next to no compression. \r
\r
Instead of rebuilding a weak motor anyways, just go a v8 swap!\r
\r
Bought an 86 Bonneville with a rebuilt engine. Took it apart, new gaskets/etc. Used some random used lifters and cam I found in the bottom of my buddy's toolbox and threw it all together with a Holley carb I bought off Kijiji for 50bucks. \r
\r
And guess what??? She runs!! \r
\r
The turbo350 wouldn't work with the stock column shifter, so I made the most expensive purchase ( besides the car initially itself) a B&M unimatic floor shifter!\r
\r
The next most expensive part was the custom driveshaft. \r
\r
Other wise everythjng else was used or free!\r
\r
She's a rust bucket, 107% of the body panels don't line up, and sometimes the doors like to not actually close when you walk way ..\r
And also she likes to die on the highway randomly. \r
\r
I also carry a larger fire extinguisher juuuuust incase \r
\r
But, the engine otherwise pretty minty!!
