Build story
a little backstory on Betty aka the impala. I had been looking for a 67 impala for about 7 years they are getting hard to find in savable condition. but after a long search I was deployed to Romania a fellow service member was injured and I evacuated him to germany for treatment. while he received treatment and subsequently surgery I waited. stubilling across the listing for Betty, listed in Bristol Virginia I knew it was the one a week later I flew back to the states and landed in my home base in Jacksonville north Carolina. The following morning I convinced my wonderful wife to load up the tow rig and grab the kiddo to get this beast. After one hell of a trip we finally got her home where she would sit for another 6 months till deployment was over. after returning I hit the ground running tearing it apart rebuilt the motor transmission fixed all the rust prepped for paint even set up a makeshift paint booth in my 2 car garage the total rebuild spanned over 3 years and 3 deployments. she is now driven daily and well loved. a dream come true and the kids help every step of the way \r
