Build story

I bought the el Camino 5 years ago and ever since it's been a goal to have a 10sec street truck.\r
\r
My first time I went to the track I ran 30+ 16sec passes with a beat old drivetrain. I was hooked with the need for speed. Shortly after that I picked up the current 350 that's in it had her back to the track the following year running 14sec passes all day.\r
\r
That winter I converted the entire front end with a complete Harwood front end and cowl hood. I also bought and had holleys very first OG Sniper EFI kit installed.\r
\r
I went back to the track that summer and ran consistent 13sec passes. I toyed with the thought of nitrous, even installed it on the truck.... But I want "street" power as I still drove the truck almost daily in the summer and to and from the track. So in the fall of 2018 I decided turbos would be the way to go. So I picked up a pair of "China" GT3582r turbos and all the parts needed to accomplish what I wanted. I spent that winter assembling the turbo kit. By the spring of 2019 the truck was at a local shop getting the hot side of the turbos made and waiting for Dyno time. \r
\r
After a few issues with the OG Holley Sniper, the truck on 9psi put down 435whp & 609ftlbs. I went straight to the track, it ran 11.5 @ 118mph. \r
\r
So now on 13psi, it runs a consistent 10.6@124mph, I made my 10sec street truck. This truck and I have been through a lot of struggle to get those 10sec passes. But in the end, there is nothing like a track day, the time spent with friends and the new friends made along the way. \r
\r
The video I uploaded is the only YouTube video I have, just a little burnout contest on the engine that I have in the truck right now. That 350 SBC has seen well over 200 passes and has only ever been opened to swap the headgaskets for Cometic Boostable gaskets.
