Build story

This lowly base model Camaro was bought brand new by my buddy's dad with exactly one option. It has state-mandated rear defrost which no longer works! After daily driving it until 2018 he handed me the keys.\r

I already had my beloved 1986 Grand National, and I'm not a Camaro guy at all. However, I am a Buick guy to the bone. The 3800 V6 that was standard in the later 4th generation Camaros was the last Buick based engine design to be sold in new vehicles. I figured that this was my chance to show the Turbo Buick guys that a cheap, plentiful, and capable Buick engine can still be had today! Besides, I needed a rusty hunk of junk that I could enjoy every day without feeling bad about breaking or denting. Check out my sleeping, budget (sub $3k), beater, 5-speed, Grand National tribute car!
