1957 Farmall 450 tractor with a 5.3 LS with a S472 turbo
Build story
Bought this tractor with plans of rebuilding the Diesel engine that was in it. After finding the block was cracked came up with another idea. Buddies dad had a 1999 Silverado with 535,000 miles on it that had been used as a mail truck. Bought the pickup and took the engine from it and started making it fit in the tractor. Made my own wiring harness and was able to get engine bolted up to the tractors original transmission. Started using it around the farm for anything I could, still using it as a normal tractor doing anything from raking hay to bush hogging or spreading manure. After about a year of using the tractor decided to put a turbo on it. Bought a 72mm turbo and fabbed up my own piping. Made the exhaust come out the factory hole in the hood now so it looks more original. This tractor is my toy and gets beat on but will still do anything around the farm another tractor can do. It will also go 40mph + down the highway.
