Converted from leaf springs to 5 link at the rear with a panhard rod setup

300mm Brembo brakes up front
Sierra Cosworth rear vented discs and calipers
Bias pedal box with wilwood cylinders, braided line throughout
TRANSMISSION/AXLE
MT75 hybrid gearbox (This engine didn’t come with a manual option, so to get around this, two gearboxes were stripped and built together into one, to give the correct bellhousing for the engine, and to do away with the 4x4 aspect of the Sierra Cosworth donor box)
Image VM 3 piece split rims, 16x8.5 with a 3” lip.
Atlas axle with a new LSD, converted to take 5 link suspension.
ELECTRICS/ECU
Emerald K6 ECU, with a custom loom that I made myself to take Audi coilpacks, and to hide the wiring in the V of the engine.
Aim MXS 1.2 Strada dash (road legal version)
Hidden wiring in the inner wings, in plastic coated metal conduit.

Build story
I had a previous Capri, which was written off in a bad smash with farm animals, the roof caved in and couldn’t be repaired safely according to insurance, so it was categorised and destined for the scrap pile.
I couldn’t be without a project car, so I used the insurance money and bought another Capri, with the initial plans of getting it on the road pretty quickly for show season with the existing running gear etc... yea that snowballed slightly!!
I bought the crash damaged car back off the insurance for salvage and set about building all of the good running gear from it into the new car, and whilst I was at it decided to twin turbo it for good measure.
The new car needed a lot more welding than I initially thought, and I made the decision to wide body it while I was chopping out rust.
I had always documented my builds on forums etc but fancied the new challenge of YouTube, so I set myself a challenge of getting to 1000 subs. A year later and I’m on nearly 4000 and enjoying every moment of it, I find it pushes me on to get the project done, and to try to improve my skillset in the process.
I hope to see 4-500hp out of the twin turbo setup, and the car will be used to road trip throughout the UK and Ireland, and hopefully Europe if the travel restrictions ever lift!
Although not driveable just yet, it should be in a few weeks, just waiting on a few parts to finish up the oil lines and boost piping then it’s ready to rip!
